I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Here are just a few of Zach and Brittany’s Engagement photos in Madison Indiana that we did this Autumn. As a Southern Indiana wedding photographer an important part of my job is getting to know each of my couples and spending an afternoon together taking engagement photos is the perfect way for me to do so. For this Madison Indiana Engagement Session we were on the search for colorful fall foliage both on trees and on the ground. We were not disappointed. Our options seemed almost endless. I also loved Brittany’s hand made sign with their wedding date on it that she wants to use for her save-the-date. After we had enough images in the park it was time to go out to a vineyard to take some more romantic pictures. I believe having an engagement session makes a momentous difference in capturing people being themselves on their wedding day. I call it an engagement session, but it is actually a kind of pre-wedding portrait session. It is a significant part of my work, and I include it with every wedding package I offer. Each of my couples are encouraged strongly to take advantage of the session because, it provides more romantic images of the couple, but it also benefits the wedding day tremendously. I tell all of my clients that it is for me, as much as it is for them, because I get to see how they interact with each other and with the camera. I get to know them and what to expect from them on the wedding day. For the couple it builds confidence and allows them to have a more stress free wedding knowing that they are in good hands. The engagement session functions as a very low-key, warm-up to the big day which translates to better wedding photos. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Zach and Brittany and I am looking forward to their wedding even more so now that we are better acquainted. We ended the evening by making our way down to waterfront across from the downtown Louisville where we enjoyed a meal together and took some images with the city lights as a backdrop.
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
