I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Troy and Melissa’s Wedding was held on a beautiful Fall day at Huber’s Orchard & Winery. As a Louisville wedding photographer I always love getting out of the city and shooting in vineyards and this vineyard wedding was no exception. In order to get their save the dates out early we did Troy and Melissa’s Autumn Engagement Session out in the countryside an entire year ahead of time. With all of the great images we got during their session I knew their wedding would rock. Weddings at Huber’s Winery are always enjoyable and Troy and Melissa made my job even easier. They looked great and were excited about creating beautiful and comfortable images. His lively group of groomsmen decided to throw him in the air which certainly made for some fun images. As a wedding photojournalist I am more drawn to organic and natural moments than ultra posed images, but I could not help but laugh at a groomsman’s idea of pulling him back as he tries to run away. The ladies looked stunning and all of the embellishments added to the ceremony location were beautifully tasteful. I especially liked the hanging mason jars filled with pebbles and candles as well as the vines they wrapped around the arbor and the balls made of ruffled fabric lining the aisle. Without question my favorite part of the day was when Melissa and Troy took a walk through the vineyard to create some distinctively romantic images. You can see their love and affection for one another. Relationships are one of the good gifts from God. What a great day. Thanks for letting me be a part. Congrats!
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
