I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
I spent an afternoon with Troy and Melissa in and around the small resort town of French Lick in Southern Indiana. What a stellar autumn engagement session! As a wedding photographer near Pittsburgh, I do so many Engagement Photos throughout western Pennsylvania, but I love to travel. I always ask my couples to pick out their engagement shoot locations. When Melissa told me she was thinking about having the engagement session on a relatives farm I was excited! When we arrived I instantly fell in love. It was a perfect rustic location. The lighting there was really a Western Pennsylvania photographers dream. This first image is so romantic that it reminds me of a scene from a movie. There is something about the late afternoon sun out in a field during harvest time that pushes any session over the top, but it’s not just that one image. The whole session rocked. I also enjoyed the images in the cornfield as well as those with the bales of hay and the barn. Speaking of barns, I love all you can do with them. Couples look great with a barn in the distance as well as up close against the old weathered boards and even inside. Barn Engagement Pictures are beautiful. After the country engagement photos we also went inside the West Baden Springs Hotel to create images with a whole different look. We also wandered around the grounds of the French Lick Resort and Casino before finishing the evening at a beautiful red covered bridge. So those are some of the reasons why I love this shoot so much. But last and not least the couple. Troy and Melissa are awesome! They are really fun people and I felt like we were old friends by the end of the session. Shoot I feel like that with all my clients! You guys are all so awesome! Back to Troy and Melissa, not only are they photogenic, but they are obviously in love. Their connection is so evident. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding. I’m so stoked we did your engagement session out in the countryside.
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
