Swedish Bridal Session in Gothenburg

I do most of my work as a Louisville wedding photojournalist in and around Kentucky, but I also do destination wedding photography from coast-to-coast and even internationally. I recently had the incredible opportunity to take a beautiful bride-to-be named Frida into a Swedish city a few days before her wedding. It is such a joy to do a full bridal session before the big day because we are not crunched for time and it gives us the ability to use multiple backgrounds. Sweden’s second largest city Gothenburg, is an attractive mix of seventeenth-century architecture, water and nature. This seaside port is cosmopolitan in every sense of the word, yet quaint and charming with cobblestone streets and a vast view of the city littered with steeples. The city offered such diversity that we were able to shoot at a historic church as well an ultra modern skyscraper. This was my first real opportunity to get to know Frida and she is perhaps one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I think her groom to be is a lucky man and I find it humorous that he has been banned from seeing these pictures until after the wedding, although he did agree to allow all of you to see them. One humorous note, as we were walking between backgrounds, two families were so excited to see the bride in her dress that they were cheering her on and after many congratulations wanted to take a picture with her.
