I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Rachel and Justin’s Louisville wedding ceremony took place downtown at the Cathedral of Assumption. As a Louisville wedding photographer it is always a joy for me to document Cathedral of Assumption weddings. It’s such a romantic setting. I love this gorgeous church building in the heart of the city with it’s towering steeple, massive arches and intricate painting on it’s ceiling. It is certainly one of the most beautiful places to get married anywhere in Kentucky. As they left the Cathedral all of their guests blew bubbles for a picturesque exit. After they tied the knot we jumped in a party bus to take pictures at a park. Then to make the day even better their reception was held at one of the finest historic hotels in the city. The Brown Hotel wedding reception in the Crystal Ballroom looked simply amazing. The Brown is an excellent choice for any stylish wedding and as such it is one of my favorite venues to shoot in. The architecture adds a richness to every photo. I simply love how romantic the image of Rachel being dip by Justin for a kiss among the archways looks. Although, the massive chandeliers are beautiful, one led to a humorous problem during the bouquet toss. If you look carefully, you’ll notice that the bouquet actually landed in the chandelier. Despite that one hitch, the day was amazing. Rachel and Justin had great time with family and friends and a celebration lasted long into the night. It was in honor to photograph the day. Thanks for letting me be a part of one of the most important days of your life. Congratulations Justin and Rachel!
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
