I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Madison and Justin’s wedding took place on on a cool autumn day out on a private ranch just outside of Louisville Kentucky. There were so many details about this Kentucky wedding photography that I enjoyed. It was full of outdoor wedding ideas. First of all, the setting was absolutely stunning with beautiful views of rolling green hills, a rustic barn that had been finished inside for comfort, horse fencing and trees. Madison wanted the feel of a church wedding, but outside. She actually pulled it off! The ceremony location was given a unique vibe by bringing in church pews, custom made wooden doors, a metal cross and lots of flowers. Madison came in a horse drawn carriage and then walked down the center aisle bursting with joy. The ceremony was designed to both celebrate their union and honor God, the creator of marriage. In it they braided a strand of three chords symbolizing the unity in marriage both with each other and with God. I loved seeing their affection and their love for one another was so evident. Madison looked absolutely lovely in her dress. I also noticed that she had the words “I do” on the bottom of her shoes. Justin, who had been sweaty when I arrived from happily setting up for the reception, cleaned up nicely in time for the ceremony. They were both so comfortable and excited as the time drew near for them to make their wedding vows. After the ceremony we took sometime to create some comfortable portraits and then it was time to head into the barn for the reception.
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
