I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
In the most recent issue of Kentucky Bride Magazine David’s photos of great wedding toasts were featured. David regularly has his work published and in this article his photos of memorable moments from several weddings made these glossy pages. David’s love for organic and real photojournalistic images is clearly seen in this publication. The focus of interest for this piece titled “Wedding Wit” was on great wedding toast. The best man toast as well as toasts from the father of the bride and from the maid of honor are opportunities to both honor the couple and entertain the guests. The magazine honored David and his clients by choosing to feature images from several of his recent weddings. Congratulations are in order to each of these couples whose wedding was highlighted. First off, Ashley and Travis led the article with their “Thank You” speech that they gave just before the dance party exploded at their lively reception. As you can see in the photo it was filled with laughter and very well received. Featured next was Ersno with his brother, the best man, who gave a heartwarming speech that brought tears to the groom’s eyes. Moving on from that deeply sentimental moment the magazine featured the humorous photo of Kate’s father who was pictured with his extensive notes for his speech that went all away to the floor. This photo is sure to bring a smile to anyone who has listen to a long wedding speech. Lastly, Amanda, the matron of honor for Steve and Micah’s wedding at the Brown Hotel was shown giving her speech to closeout be article. For advice the magazine sought out standup comedian Geoff Woliner who said when preparing your speech plan to, “Be funny, direct, and brief. Always smile. Make good eye contact. Begin and end with your best jokes.” This creative article is filled with wedding speech ideas and is sure to help inspire those who will be writing speeches for upcoming weddings. To read the whole article pick up a copy of Kentucky Bride Magazine which is now available in eight states throughout the region.
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
