Julie and Bryant’s Kentucky Engagement Session

As a Kentucky portrait photographer I’m privileged to have so many beautiful places to create images with my clients. Julie and Bryant wanted to have some truly Kentucky engagement photography. Nothing says Kentucky more than horses and bourbon, so we started this quintessentially Kentucky session at the state’s oldest continuously operating bourbon distillery, Buffalo Trace. With the strong smell of bourbon in the air we found an excellent barrel room to create some romantic portraits in and several other spots throughout the grounds as well. Julie and Bryant were a joy to photograph as they were playful and affectionate throughout the whole afternoon. Next we made our way into the hearts of horse country to visit the Kentucky Horse Park just outside of Lexington KY. Julie absolutely loves horses so she enjoyed the pasture we found with three horses in the background. Then just as we were finishing up, we happened to find a field filled with around 30 horses in it. It seemed as if Julie thought she was in heaven! We quickly made our way down to the edge of the pasture that was soaking in beautiful afternoon sun light. It was such a fun session creating these romantic horse country engagement photos. I had a great time getting to know this fun loving couple. As I drove home I was struck by how much I have to be thankful for in what God has made. His creation is filled with so many beautiful sights, wonderful smells and enjoyable people.
