I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
James and Sonja’s wedding was so fun to photograph. As a Louisville wedding photographer, I always appreciate ceremonies at are held in the church the couple is the part of. Sonja grew up in this church and their minister was her former pastor, who now serves as a missionary on the other side of the world. They were so excited and honored that he could be a part. The ceremony was distinctly Christian, honoring God and proclaiming the distinctions of Christian marriage. The tent reception took place at a private residence out in the country just outside of Louisville. Many in attendance were members of the church and even among the others there seemed to be such a sense of Christian unity. They were certainly there to celebrate the union of James and Sonja, but also there was also a clear recognition that this wedding, and marriage in general, is a symbol of the much greater union between Jesus Christ and His bride, the church. Children were in abundance and heartily welcomed with a whole table of legos and coloring pages. Outside the tent kids and some adults enjoyed playing games. The comfortable, yet classy celebration had many guests joyfully lingering in conversations for hours. Their cake topped with berries looked absolutely delicious, but I was so busy I never got a bite… I’ll survive. It was an honor to document this wedding celebration. I’m so thankful to all of my clients for inviting me into one of the most important days of their life. Congratulations James and Sonja and may your marriage last a lifetime!
