Holly and Michael’s Engagement Session

Holly and Michael’s Engagement Session was a blast.  As a Louisville KY wedding photographer it is always nice to spent an afternoon with my couples before their wedding and my session with these two was so much fun. The enjoyment came not from going to some incredible location or eating some fabulous food although our meal together was great and the locations we chose were some of the city’s finest, but the real enjoyment came from being together.  Michael and Holly are so fun to spend time with! Their love for one another is obvious and they both are so friendly. As you can see in the image above they are so comfortable in one another’s arms and they have a natural connection. Truthfully, in addition to giving me another opportunity to create great images, one of the main reasons I like to do engagement sessions with my clients is that it lets us get better acquainted. I get to see how they interact with one another and they get use to being in front of the lens. Then when I arrive on the wedding day they are more comfortable with me around and it makes for better wedding day photos.  We walked through the woods and meadows of Cherokee Park and make use of more than one of its excellent bridges. We also headed down to Louisville Slugger Field which is where their wedding reception will actually take place in just a few weeks. They even made up custom jerseys with their wedding date for that part of the shoot.  We ended the evening with the spectacular view of Louisville’s skyline as our background. It was great getting to know this fun couple before their big day and now I am even more excited to shoot there wedding.
