Featured Destination Wedding in Sophisticated Living

Sophisticated Living Weddings is currently featuring a destination wedding I did in Sweden last year. As a wedding photographer based in Louisville, Kentucky you can imagine how exciting it was for me to be shooting a destination wedding and a European castle. It’s always an honor to have my work published and I am so grateful. The Magazine gave a massive six page spread to the stylish international wedding which took place at a seaside castle in the Swedish countryside.  Ramy and Frida had many guests from around the world and I counted five languages being spoken.  The ceremony took place in an old stone church and was followed quickly by a cocktail hour just outside the castle. The stunning view from the courtyard of the ocean and outlying islands made an exceptional background for this elegant celebration.  The lavish candlelight dinner was served in a grand ballroom lined with massive paintings and intricate woodworking. The sophistication and grandeur of this event was astounding and I was honored to make the trip from the United States to photograph this exquisite wedding. The day was filled with excitement and tears of joy and the festivities lasted long into the night.  It was truly an amazing celebration and certainly the type of wedding that would make any bride-to-be envious.

One additional interesting note is that this same castle was chosen as the backdrop for the new sci-fi movie Melancholia staring Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man, Marie Antoinette) and Kiefer Sutherland (24). The trailer can be seen here.

Same to you. You are the famous one in the photos!

that’s funny about the castle. Some day their kids will watch that movie and say “hey! isn’t that castle in the picture of mommy in her wedding dress?”

Great job, David!
