Emily & Mike’s Louisville Wedding

Emily & Mike’s Louisville Wedding was on the last comfortable day of the Fall season. In the days soon after the weather turned rather cold, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the warm afternoon sunlight that day.  The pictures started with of the ladies who were giving ready at Emily’s parents home. As a Louisville wedding photographer my day almost always begins with detail shots and then onto moments of everyone getting ready.  I saw this beautiful shaft of light coming from a window high in the wall and it made the perfect background for her customized hanger she had made for her dress. All of her accessories accented her beauty quite well.  She even had her jewelry custom made for the day.  For the first look we headed up to a nearby park that had beautiful fall colors on the trees.  After taking pictures with the bridesmaids, groomsmen and the whole party together we also did some comfortable portraits of just the two of them.  Next everyone hopped on a trolley to drive to the church building. As the ceremony began Mike had a huge smile on his face while he watched his bride-to-be walk down the aisle. The ringbearer on the other hand was not showing anyone his smile, but instead he was hiding behind his little pillow.  So cute!  The day was filled with many other fun moments and details, but what stands out to me most is how obviously excited these two were to be tying the knot. I’m so happy for you both. Congratulations Mike and Emily!  Thanks for letting me be a part of your big day. I noticed that the water in the baptistery at the back of the room had a stellar reflection of the whole ceremony so I knelt down to get this unique shot.
