I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Justin and Emily tied the knot at the Grand in New Albany, which is an old theater that has been converted into a wedding venue. As a Louisville and New Albany wedding photographer I was glad to go shoot another wedding at the Grand. One of the unique parts of this Southern Indiana wedding venue is that the couple gets to have their names up in lights as well as their engagement photos out front where the old movie posters used to be placed. In fact for Justin and Emily’s engagement session we actually came and shot some in front of the theater. The day of the wedding was gorgeous and it was a joy to document. Emily has an impressive peacock tattoo filling most of one arm, so it was quite appropriate that her bouquet included peacock feathers. After some images with the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom the groomsmen it was time for Emily and Justin to see each other. Next we walked around downtown creating some New Albany Indiana wedding photos that these two we’ll cherish for years to come. With most of the photos out of the way it was time for the ceremony to begin. Emily looked fabulous walking down the aisle and Justin was clearly excited to finally be marrying the love of his life. Once they have made their vows to one another it was time to party. Their guest signed a large letter G that will undoubtedly be hung up on a wall in their home. The guest enjoyed food, dancing, a photo booth and a color coordinated Candy buffet. I was honored to get to document Emily and Justin’s big day. Enjoy!
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
