Derrick and Jasmine’s Louisville Wedding at the Galt House

Derrick and Jasmine’s Wedding at St. Louis Bertrand Church in old Louisville is a perfect example of why David Blair is one of the premier Louisville wedding photographers. His creative eye and attention to detail come together with his love for capturing emotion as he photographs.  David’s work is excellent at any venue, but with the particular locations of this wedding his images are even more spectacular.  It is obvious why David loves doing weddings at this church. It’s just gorgeous and as one of the largest Catholic cathedrals in the city the architecture provides so many opportunities for creative Louisville wedding photography. It’s also quite challenging as a photographer needs massive telephoto lenses to get images up close to the couple in this enormous sanctuary and needs the industry’s finest wide-open lenses to deal with the lack of light. David pulled everything off perfectly with his technical skill and substantial investment in gear. The getaway car Derrick and Jasmine chose was so much fun and going up to the very top of the Galt House for their reception was  another awesome choice. Her vibrant bouquet of flowers matched the lively centerpieces for this elegant wedding reception well. The whole day was a blast.  The Galt House Hotel’s premier restaurant RIVUE has a spectacular view and is an exceptional choice for receptions.  Additionally the food is some of the city’s best. Derrick and Jasmine are big baseball fans and both lived in Washington D.C. for a time. Needless to say Nationals baseball was a big part of their life. They were able to call in some favors and have the presidential mascots come to the wedding. Everyone definitely had a good time.
