Courtney and Kevin’s Bardstown Engagement Session

As a Kentucky wedding photographer based in Louisville I love the opportunity to get out of the city and shoot both weddings and engagements sessions in Bardstown. For Courtney and Kevin’s session we started just outside of Bardstown at the Jim Beam bourbon distillery. There was a lot to work with on the property with old barns, railroad tracks, vibrant fall colors and of course a bunch of rack houses field with barrel upon barrel of bourbon. We were blessed with excellent weather and got to shoot on one of the last truly pleasant days of fall before the cold arrived. Our next stop was the historic Spalding Hall in the heart of Bardstown.  The building itself is beautiful but we spent even more time simply enjoying a seemingly endless supply of fallen leaves. Before the Bardstown session was over we also stopped at the famous Kentucky home dinner train and My Old Kentucky Home state park. Courtney and Kevin are not only a stylish and photogenic couple but they clearly enjoy spending time with one another which is of course what makes for the best pictures. Their love for one another is evident and I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with them while they laughed and teased one another. As much as I loved creating these romantic images during Courtney and Kevin’s Bardstown wedding photography engagement session, even more so I simply enjoyed getting to know this couple before their big day.  I’m certainly looking forward to their Louisville wedding next spring at the Cathedral of Assumption and the Seelbach Hotel!
