I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Spring has begun and with it this Louisville wedding photographer is excited to start the year’s wedding season! With the cold days of caring would to my fireplace and shoveling snow behind me it is exciting to get out and take some photos. Recently I spent the afternoon with Amanda and Andrew for their Louisville Engagement Session. We had a great time getting to know one another. They flew in from Washington DC for a whirlwind 4 day weekend of wedding planning. Andrew’s parents even made the trip so they could take part in the fun. Wedding planner Ellen Fox of ShaFox Weddings & Events packed their schedule full of activities. They sampled food from the Brown Hotel’s incredible catering staff, went cake tasting and met with many other wedding vendors. To finish the weekend off we went out for their engagement session. We casually made our way throughout Louisville creating images of this fun loving couple. First we wandered throughout Cherokee Park making use of the woods, paths, steps and bridges. Next we spent some time at the scenic Hurstbourne Country Club with its gorgeous clubhouse, bridge, creek and the ruins. Finally we made our way downtown to get a more urban look and over the river to shoot with the cityscape behind us. I love how their affection and love for one another is so clearly seen in these images. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Amanda and Andrew and I’m really looking forward to their wedding this fall.
One of David's photos made the cover of Sophisticated Living Weddings. The magazine also featured the wedding which took place at the famous Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, KY.
