I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
One of the best job perks of being a Destination Wedding Photographer is traveling to Europe. What a joy it was to travel to France to shoot Adrien & Eve-Lise’s Destination Wedding. They chose to have their wedding at a château in the countryside outside of Paris. They made time in their schedule for us to enjoy all the festivities at the château and for us to also shoot in the heart of the city at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The château which was hundreds of years old is on a spacious property that was a beautiful setting for the wedding. Serendipitously, right next to the ceremony site was an entire field of lavender which matched her bouquet perfectly. We couldn’t pass up that opportunity and had to take some time to walk out into the field. Of course, we also took pictures in front of the château as well as in the nearby woods. All the decorations for both a ceremony and the reception were custom made by hand. Adrien & Eve-Lise’s wedding ceremony was quite unique and filled with emotion. Adrien made all of the desserts for the wedding himself and I have to say they were impressive. According to European tradition, during the multi course dinner, several of the guests performed. Some guests prepared songs, skits, toasts and games, all of which both honored and made fun of the couple. Then it was time for the dance party, that seemed more like a rock concert as the groom was thrown repeatedly into the air as the live band played. Others made their way up to the loft to enjoy a selection of whiskey and cigars. The celebration was a joy for everyone and as always I was honored to get to document the event. Congratulations Adrien & Eve-Lise!
