Aaron and Ashley’s Wedding was a joy to photograph. They are so clearly in love with each other. You could see it in their tender embrace and in their expressions as they looked into each other’s eyes. Their plans had changed repeatedly and the wedding date was delayed due to the pandemic, but it was certainly a sweet celebration once the day finally arrived. They chose to have an intimate rooftop wedding in the heart of the city at the historic Brown Hotel. The downtown cityscape made a perfect backdrop for their exchanging of vows. After the ceremony we went down to the lobby and out front of the hotel to create some comfortable portraits of the newlyweds as everyone made their way into the ballroom for dinner. Several heartfelt speeches were given which highlighted the friendship Aaron and Ashley have cultivated over the years. The speeches were a great combination of humor and authentic honoring of the bride and groom. Once the official festivities were complete it was time to get on the party bus and head over to a brewery to finish the night. Once everyone had a brew in hand Ashley surprised Aaron by arranging to have there adorable pet dog come join the party, complete with a handkerchief that had written on it “I do too.” This wedding was reminded that as a wedding photographer it is truly an honor and a privilege to document, but also celebrate with my couples one of the most exciting and important days of their life. I never grow tired of using my camera to tell love stories that couples and families will cherish for years to come. So congratulations Aaron and Ashley and thank you for letting me be a part of your day!
