Meghan & James’ Garden Wedding at Whitehall
Meghan & James’ garden wedding was absolutely beautiful. Weddings at the Whitehall House & Gardens are always a joy to photograph because both the historic house and manicured garden provide an excellent outdoor setting for an elegant garden wedding in Louisville, but even more so in this case, as wedding planner Carol Grisanti helped push this wedding over-the-top. The air-conditioned tent where the reception was held looked fabulous with chandeliers and fabric hanging above and beautiful linens, crystal and centerpieces on each table. In addition, one to the tent housed a lounge complete with couches and a full bar separated from the dinner area with a decorative wall constructed of white bark trees and hanging candles. Of course more than the setting what made this wedding so fun to photograph was Meghan & James’ obvious love and affection for one another. They were so happy to be getting married and likewise to be celebrating with so many friends and family. As guests arrive they entered the mansion and were treated to drinks and hors d’oeuvres before they made their way to the garden where the ceremony took place. After they made their vows we took sometime to create some comfortable portraits in the garden and then made our way to the reception tent. During their first dance the music abruptly changed and the bridesmaids and bridesmen made their way onto the floor to be back up dancers complete with choreographed moves. Next the everyone enjoyed an incredible meal and then a live band took the stage and got the dance party officially started. It was a playful and wild party that seemed to get almost everyone on the dance floor at some point. Thanks again for letting me document your day. Congratulations Meghan & James!
