I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
As a Louisville wedding photographer I often end up downtown in the heart of the city. Lisa and Patrick’s wedding day started down at the historic Seelbach Hotel. I never get tired of shooting in this impressive building. Once everyone was ready we took pictures with both the bridesmaids and the groomsmen around the hotel. The guys especially enjoyed going down to the dimly lit Rathskeller Room in the basement with its copper-topped bar and castle like carved columns reaching to the arched ceiling. The ladies made use of the gorgeous grand staircase before heading to the church. Lisa looked absolutely amazing and made creating beautiful images a breeze. Their ceremony took place at St. John’s Church of Christ, which is one of my favorite church buildings to photograph in. It’s grand architecture with high ceilings, arches and stained glass made it a beautiful setting to exchange vows in. Lisa also had a custom aisle runner made with 1 Corinthians 13:7-8 printed on it. Only in the Bible can you find such a beautiful definition of love. “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” Of course no man can perfectly love as described here, but only Jesus Christ who demonstrated real love in his perfect life and self sacrificial death for sinners. Patrick along with all other men must look to the example of Jesus in order to imitate it in his marriage. Once they had tied the knot everyone made their way back downtown to the reception in the Starks building atrium just off from 4th Street Live. The Starks building is a unique Louisville reception venue with 15 stories of offices built in a rectangle around a massive open space covered with a roof, meaning their reception had a towering high ceiling of about 1500 feet. Patrick and Lisa along with their guests clearly had a wonderful time and I love all the images we were able to get.
