Garrett and Brooke’s Wedding

This wedding was no shot in the dark. You may have heard of a shotgun wedding before, but Garrett and Brooke took it in an entirely new direction. No, the father of the bride was not pointing a gun at the groom, but rather this whole wedding party was loaded.  The bridesmaids were carrying shotguns while the groomsmen had custom-made shotgun shell boutonnieres. I am sure you will enjoy these images from Brooke and Garrett’s wedding.  I love the images of Brooke getting ready with her bridesmaids. They absolutely could not keep from laughing the whole time.  They had a nonstop party all day. Once she was ready it was time to go do their first look. They planned to do it in a field and wanted to do pictures of the two of them as well as the whole bridal party out on a friends farm, but as we arrived so did a storm. While the whole bridal party sat in their cars to stay out of the pouring rain I looked around until I discovered an awesome hayloft.  They had intended to do the pictures outdoors and never been up to the loft.  It worked out great and allowed us to keep on photographing for almost an hour until there was a break in the storm. I love how weddings keep wedding photographers Louisville Kentucky thinking on their feet.  The relief from the downpour only lasted about 30 minutes, but that was plenty of time to get images of the whole bridal party out in the field!  Once we were finished with the fun on the farm it was time to head into the city. Garrett and Brooke’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Caluet Club in New Albany, Indiana.  For the reception centerpieces Brooke filled mason jars of different sizes with buttons and spools as well as wine bottles wrapped in twine.  Along with the shotgun shell boutonnieres she certainly showed off her DYI skills. Speaking for most wedding photographers Louisville Kentucky, we love these types of photo opportunities. Congratulations Garrett and Brooke and thanks for letting me come document your day!

I would like to know where they got the shotgun shells themselves I can’t find them in that color and it is what my brother wants for his boutonnieres.
