I love wedding photography in Louisville Kentucky. This city has so much to offer and Louisville wedding photographers like myself have so many great locations to shoot throughout the city. The combination of historic and modern architecture as well as beautiful parks and the riverfront give Louisville vast variety. There are parts of the city that look as if you are in the middle of the countryside or deep in a forest yet they are still quite close to its urban center. During a wedding day it is practical for me to shoot the bride against lush green trees and then have her walking through the tall urban buildings downtown on the same day as well. The city is a wedding photographers dream come true because Louisville KY has what every bride is looking for. From the luxury of the historic Brown Hotel to the modern quirkiness of 21C the Ville has you covered. Above is a slow exposure image I took of the Louisville cityscape. If you look closely you can see the blur created from the Belle of Louisville moving past the Yum Center. In the video below you will see a compilation of time-lapse views from all over Louisville Kentucky. I did not create it, but could not help but share it since it does such an excellent job of showing off so many of the great locations throughout the city. It will certainly get you thinking about what aspects of the city you would like to use for your engagement session or wedding. Some of Louisville Kentucky wedding photographers favorites include shooting the skyline from the Indiana side of the river, Walnut Street Baptist Church, Cherokee Park, Frankfort Avenue, Whiskey Row, the Pedestrian Walking Bridge, St. James Court, the Palace, 4th St. Live, The Henry Clay Building, Crescent Hill Reservoir, the Mohammed Ali Center, Bardstown Road, the Cathedral of Assumption as well as out on the 2nd Street Bridge. Whatever look you’re going for, chances are we can find it in or around Louisville.
