I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Alison and Greg’s Louisville Wedding at the Ice House
As a wedding photographer in Louisville, weddings at the Ice House are among my favorites. Alison and Greg’s Louisville Wedding at the Ice House took place on the first day of Autumn. Fittingly it was certainly a gorgeous day… perfect for creating some distinctive Louisville wedding photography. The blue sky was filled with white puffy clouds and the temperature was in the low 70s for this rooftop wedding. Alison and her entourage looked fabulous. Her bouquet of flowers was elegant and to accent her beauty she chose small subtle accessories. Greg on the other hand surprised Allison by wearing a Cardinals belt buckle. He also sported his sunglasses for most of the day. The men’s polkadot ties were a lively touch to their attire and their white sneakers gave them a modern casual look. If your looking wedding photographer in Louisville, the Ice House venue provided an urban chic atmosphere for this unique marriage celebration. It is one of Louisville’s newest all-in-one event venues that allows couples to hold both the ceremony and reception in the same building. It is within walking distance of many downtown attractions, but rather than walking after the wedding ceremony we hopped in a stretched limo and in style crossed the river to Southern Indiana where we could get the skyline as a background. Alison and Greg’s love for one another is evident and you can see it in the comfortable portraits we were able to create. They love being together and they made my job as a Louisville wedding photographer easy. They were in such a good mood that they started the dance party all by themselves while we were still shooting portraits. Then after shooting their silhouette against the sunset we headed back to the reception. Everyone had a great time and left with a fun mix tape, okay it was a CD, of Alison and Greg’s favorite dance music. Congratulations you two and thanks for letting me be a part!
After the wedding I received this note from Allison and I thought it was worth sharing,
“I knew from the second we met for coffee that you were our photographer. I dug your laid back personality and was very taken with your portfolio. However, you have entirely exceeded my expectations. Your sweet words about our wedding day and the sneak preview shots are exceptional! I am in love with all of them. In fact, our only problem might be figuring out what to frame. I cannot wait to see the rest! David, you are extraordinarily talented and we truly loved working with you. Not only do you have that “artistic eye” but you also have a real passion for what you do. Your work wholly demonstrates that. Everyone that has seen your shots has been more than impressed. Thank you again!”
