Wedding Reception at the Brown Hotel
Here is a sneak peek from yesterday’s wedding reception at the Brown Hotel. Alicia from Great Expectations along with Paul and Alex from Fleur de Lis Events worked their magic and did an excellent job making this bride’s wedding dream become a reality. It was beautiful! The Crystal Ballroom at the Brown Hotel wedding reception is a gorgeous venue with intricate detail work along both the walls and ceiling. Of course, the ballroom fittingly matches the fabulous architecture of this classic historic hotel in the heart of the city. As a Louisville wedding photographer I love any opportunity I get to work at the Brown. As if the room was not gorgeous enough to begin with all of the decor Ashley chose for her reception looked amazing. I love when wedding reception rooms have up-lighting along the walls. Adding lighting provides not only a more lively and exciting setting, but also makes for much more beautiful reception photos. With out subtle lighting filling the room the background all falls off into darkness in many Brown Hotel wedding reception images. That certainly was not the case here in the additional lighting really help accent the beauty of the opulent Crystal Ballroom.
The above image is from the large head table while the others show that the centerpieces around the room alternated. Having different centerpieces around the room adds interest as well as giving the whole reception a more lavish look. When it comes to the decor of a reception the accent candles provide can never be underestimated and when paired with the beautiful chandeliers in this ballroom, the final presentation is spectacular. The canopy with its own chandelier over the wedding cake was also used for the ceremony. The classy chairs along with the tablecloths with reflective strips in them added to the whole look. Notice also the use of small flower arrangements along with the large ones. This Brown Hotel wedding reception provided the perfect opportunity to show just how elegant Louisville wedding photography can be.
