I'm glad you stopped by. My name is David Blair and I am a Louisville Wedding Photographer. My goal as a wedding photographer is to provide brides and grooms throughout Kentucky, Indiana and anywhere worldwide with stunning photographic images and presentations. I strive to produce unique and artistic images that preserve the romance, emotions and overall vibe of weddings in an unobtrusive manner. I absolutely love my job and never get tired of shooting couples on their happiest day. Each wedding is a different and unique experience that pushes me to be even more creative.
I discovered I had an eye for photography when I was first handed a camera in high school. With yearbook providing the film, I was able to continually improve and hone my skill. I had found my niche. In college, I took a variety of photography classes which taught me the technical side of photography, and I then furthered my skill by attending photography conferences and workshops. Now after 12 years of photographing weddings, I love it more than ever.
Brittany and Zach’s Duncan Memorial Chapel Wedding
Here are just a few images from Brittany and Zach’s Duncan Memorial Chapel Wedding. I loved her bouquet filled with a variety of vibrant colors. The old stone chapel is small and ideal for an intimate wedding with your closest friends. There were isolated thunderstorms on the wedding day and a downpour soaked the chapel just prior to the brides arrival. She was quite glad that she missed the rain but after the ceremony as there were only a few puddles left one of the groomsmen noted that one was making a perfect heart shape. Britney smiled and said it was meant to be so we quickly made use of the serendipitous occurrence and made an image with the unique puddle. This is just one of many examples of how each wedding truly is unique and how my job as a Louisville outdoor wedding photographer is to find the little moments between the big moments on each wedding day. Of course there are some standard big moments such as “the kiss” or “the bride walking down the aisle” that everyone expects to see a photo of, but in addition to these I’m looking to document the interesting little moments that are specific to each story. My hope is that when my clients look at their wedding album years from now they are drawn back to those little moments that string together the story of their wedding day rather than just thinking these are pretty pictures, although I wouldn’t mind if they think that too. I also love how our city is filled with such a variety of locations allowing every couple I shoot to receive truly unique Louisville outdoor wedding photography. Brittany and Zach made time for us to stop at an old train bridge to do some comfortable portraits beneath the train trestles before heading over to their reception. The guest had a great time dancing and laughing and the kids in attendance certainly appreciated the coloring books and especially the candy buffet.
