Samantha and Steven got married downtown at St. John United Church of Christ and their to capture the celebration was one of Louisville best wedding photographer, David Blair. These two didn’t hold back anything for their big day which made for some fabulous wedding photography Louisville KY. They pulled out all of the stops. Everywhere you looked you saw elegance and personal touches made by the couple, not a single detail was overlooked! Speaking of details, the socks these guys rocked are a perfect example, Samantha took the liberty to glue little rhinestones onto Steven’s. David loved working with their small army of a wedding party, it was so easy to get great stuff with them. Samantha’s wedding dress came all the way from Spain and its a shame that the dress designers couldn’t see how absolutely gorgeous it was on this bride. Days like this one are why David loves being a Louisville KY wedding photographer. After the ceremony the whole bridal party took a limo bus over the river to Southern Indiana where David took the above iconic Louisville wedding photo. Then it was time to head over to the Grand in New Albany.
Here is Samantha’s Story in her own words.
“When Steven slipped that engagement ring on my finger, it felt like I was finally home! Our story began years earlier, when we first met at the local ballpark. By the end of eighth grade, we were officially a couple and have never looked back. We have similar interests, values, and goals, so our relationship grew naturally during high school and college. I couldn’t wait to marry him! Our friends and families have been so supportive over the years, so we wanted our wedding day to be just as memorable for them. I would describe our wedding as visually joyful, filled with personal touches. My mom was our wedding planner, and she worked very hard to bring our vision to life. So many details added to the happy feeling we were after, including my ruffled dress, pink satin shoes, and the brightly colored neon socks worn by Steven and the groomsmen. Our florist did an amazing job with the flowers! They were a riot of color – hot pink, orange, and lime. When the church doors opened as I was about to walk down the aisle, and I saw the ribbons, the flowers, the candles – it was breathtaking! Then, I locked eyes with Steven, who was grinning from ear to ear, and the joy was overwhelming! That moment was definitely worth the wait. Steven’s brother performed the ceremony, so it felt very close to our hearts when he finally pronounced us husband and wife. The celebration continued at the Grand, where we were introduced by the Cardinal Bird from the University of Louisville, our alma mater. Our guests had a blast visiting the photo booth and the gorgeous candy buffet. A favorite moment was when I surprised my dad with a video during the father-daughter dance of the two of us, beginning the day I was born. Everyone cried! The evening flew by, but we have incredible photographs to help us remember every joyful detail!”
